Quote versions work again
If creating a new version of a quote has failed for you at any point since our July platform migration, that's fixed.
A step quote versioning depended on went missing during the migration, so every attempt to save a new version failed immediately, before anything was written. Existing quotes and their current versions were never affected — only creating an additional version failed.
The fix applies automatically with this release. Nothing on your side to do.
A change to deleting time entries that already reduced a prepaid balance
If a time entry has already drawn down hours from a client's prepaid balance, deleting it now asks you to release it first rather than deleting it outright.
Previously, deleting an entry like this went ahead silently, leaving the client's remaining balance short with no record of why. Now the delete is refused with a clear explanation. Mark the entry non-billable first — that returns its hours to the balance — and the delete will then go through normally.
Also fixed
- Creating a new vendor could fail if you left the logo field untouched, which is what most people do when they don't have a logo image on hand. It now saves normally either way.
- Role-based buttons and options could flash the wrong version for a moment when a page first loaded, before correcting to what you actually have access to. They now show correctly from the start.
- A read-only (viewer) account could still create a quote from a template. That's now blocked, continuing the read-only cleanup from the last release.
- Claude gives a clearer explanation when it can't edit or delete a time entry that belongs to someone else on your team, instead of a message that sounded like a general permissions problem.
